I don't get it, what happened? (Boy I feel dense...)
Yep,not in the not to distant memories..........
ever see a walrus scooting back up the beach from the waves?
That be me!
Rich
The video came through fine! I have been smashed by the Blue Crush so many times that the locations do not make a whole lot of difference to me anymore. I just try to get out the surf without loosing all of my equipment.
I watched a young guy for about an hour looking for his fins. I really wanted to go tell him to follow the undertow and look for it in about 50 deep water, but didn't.
I really like Kapalua Beach because it has that shelf there for you if you watch the waves, they will sit you up on it.... and then you can gracefully scoot like a walrus up the beach to take your gear off
My Mother in Law was born in Minnesota. She met her husband (a traveling salesman) at the local hotel where she was a waitress. A dance and a dream lead them to a lifetime together. Her birth certificate was burned in a courthouse fire so she says 1909, they say 1910 so she might be a centurian.
Have a great upcoming week my friend!

Just so you all know, we were sitting on our mats and a wave came in much farther than aniticipated and caused us to move rather quickly. I just happened to be filming the waves at that point - at least for a brief 4 seconds.![]()
We had that happen on Kamlll this year.
Probably like you, we looked at the wet sand an parked above that line.
Jeanne was there while I snorkeled. We were just sunning and out of nowhere, the large
wave came in, soaking our towels, mats, beach bag, camera's, etc.
Of course, since Jeanne doesn't get up and run, it was kind of an embarassing moment for us while
other's were laughing at us. The next trip, we used the multiplier of 3

I'm sorry to hear that Rich. What happened to you and Jean was not funny. It just shows how we easy it is to mistake someones misfortune for the wrong thing.
I dont get it still... but hope you guyz are stil ok...
I didn't get to see the video..
but many years ago..when i was still thin...my family and I were at the North Shore...
a huge wave came in ..soaked our towels and mats and stuff... knocked me down and was pulling me out into the ocean..my dad ran and sat down on me to keep me from being pulled out to the water! was a little scary!
If that happened now...no amount of water would be able to pull me out!

Yah it happened many time to me, i use to lay down on sand then i move with water like a dead fish.![]()
When I push the float for my mother, I've been drinking sea water. It was a terrible thing when I was 6 years old, and of course I have to learn to swim. It was my first time drinking water. it was really salty
